Residents of Rio Verde Foothills received another blow over the weekend in their fight to obtain water from the city of Scottsdale. The unincorporated community sits outside Scottsdale city limits and has been left without water since the city turned off its taps at the beginning of the year — a move it had warned residents was coming.

Winter storms in the past week dropped more than 5 feet of snow in parts of Flagstaff. And additional snowfall is expected with the latest weather system moving in Thursday night.
