Phoenix has officially submitted its proposal in hopes of landing Amazon’s second headquarters. Thursday was the deadline for cities or economic development organizations to pitch their locations.

The Phoenix mayor plans to share more information tomorrow.

Amazon says its second headquarters in North American will bring up to 50,000 jobs and $5 billion in construction spending.

Phoenix would release no specifics, only saying it has a highly competitive proposal.

The Greater Phoenix Economic Council which submitted the proposal on the city’s behalf had no comment.

A source with knowledge of the situation tells KJZZ the proposal is subject to a non-disclosure agreement, which typically means an offer is under serious consideration. Amazon plans to announce its second headquarters site next year.
