A federal judge has overturned a 2012 Arizona anti-abortion law targeting Planned Parenthood. Tempe-based US Airways and bankrupt American Airlines have officially announced their intention to merge. The new company will keep the American Airlines name and be based out of Dallas-Fort Worth. Current American CEO Tom Horton said at a press conference that while there will be job losses, the two companies complement one another.
Scottsdale Mayor Jim Lane will deliver his State of the City
address Thursday morning. He’ll give the speech in downtown Scottsdale – the city
is currently working with some businesses in that part of town to address
security concerns, after a bouncer at a bar was stabbed to death last month.
