A Scottsdale man has been sentenced for stealing cacti from

MARK BRODIE: U.S. District Judge Roslyn Silver this week sentenced
46-year-old Kenneth Brian Cobb to five years of supervised probation and eight
months of weekend incarceration for the theft.

who qualify for an Obama administration program, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, is growing. KJZZ's Jude

There is another effort to exchange federal land for environmentally sensitive land in eastern Arizona. Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake introduced a bill yesterday that would swap federal land with similar sized parcels owned by the Resolution Copper Company.

Teaching Arizona’s students is a challenge at every grade level, but perhaps especially so in the nation’s largest community college system. Of recent high school graduates coming into the Maricopa Community Colleges, 40 percent can’t read at a college level, and 30 percent can’t write at a college level.
