As of Jan. 28, Glendale medical marijuana card holders will be able to have cannabis delivered to their homes. The city and its dispensaries said they will benefit from local sales taxes and a decrease of illegal deliveries.

Justin Schudel with Superb Solutions said this business model has been replicated in other industries such as Postmates, Grubhub and Ubereats.

“In this industry, where it's considered medical marijuana and medical products, a lot of our patients are bedridden, they’re immobile, they value their privacy or they don't have transportation," Schudel said. "So these are all reasons that the convenience of delivery is really taking off, and people are seeing that bringing the product to the end destination by state license employees is the safest way to go.”

Medical marijuana card holders transmit their licenses to the Superb app for immediate verification. If approved, the service then delivers the product.
