Judge: APS Rate Hikes Aren't Too High, But May Have Been Misleading
APS rates are not too high, according to the opinion of a judge released on Tuesday.
The judge recommended dismissing a complaint that challenges a 2017 rate hike, but she did agree that APS’s description of the rate increase was possibly misleading. She also encouraged a rate review to determine whether APS is earning more than regulators authorized.
To break this down, The Show was joined by Arizona Republic reporter Ryan Randazzo, who wrote about this opinion.
