As more migrants are being dropped off in cities across the borderlands, nurses are volunteering their time to provide medical care to those migrants and asylum seekers.

The RN Response Network, a disaster-relief project run by the California Nurses Foundation and National Nurses United, has been sending teams of nurses to Tucson for the last two months.

Diane McClure was one of the nurses who answered that call, and she said it’s mostly families she treated in the time she spent at the iconic Benedictine Monastery in Tucson.

The Show spoke with her more about her experience there.
