Arizona’s largest electric utility revealed that it spent over $10 million to help get two candidates elected to the Arizona Corporation Commission in 2014.

APS and its parent company, Pinnacle West Capital Corp, gave nearly $5.9 million to the Free Enterprise Club and another $3.2 to Save Our Future Now, among other spending. Those political action committees helped elect now-former Republican Commissioners Tom Forese and Doug Little in 2014.

The disclosures came from a formal filing with the Arizona Corporation Commission late Friday. APS and Pinnacle West previously fought efforts of forced revelation of campaign finance spending from commissioners.

Donations to the Arizona Cattle Feeders Association, the Republican Governors Association, and the Republican Attorneys General Association were also revealed in the disclosure.
