A Look Back At Gov. Jan Brewer's 6 Years In Office

Next month, Gov. Jan Brewer will hand over the reins of state government to Gov.-elect Doug Ducey after six years in office. In that time, there have been huge budget deficits, Medicaid expansion, a finger wag at President Obama and lawsuits related to illegal immigration. But how has Brewer done as governor? What has been accomplished? Where were there failures?

We spoke about those things with Matthew Benson, former communications director for Brewer and now a director at the public affairs firm Veridus and Mario Diaz of the public affairs firm Mario E. Diaz and Associates. He previously worked for former Gov. Janet Napolitano.
