Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey Reacts To Hacienda HealthCare Closure
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is reacting to news that Hacienda HealthcCre is planning to close its facility after an incapacitated patient was raped and gave birth to a baby in late December. That patient has been removed but about three dozen others remain.
“We’ve put a 24-hour monitor inside Hacienda to make sure the patients are cared for and they are comfortable and now we’re working on the long-time solution for these people so their lives aren’t disrupted.”
Arizona regulators say Hacienda cannot close without written consent from the state. They gave Hacienda’s board until 4 p.m. Friday to answer questions about the closure decision.
