Who's Benefiting From Current Housing Market Growth?

Deep trouble in the housing market took a huge chunk of the blame for the Great Recession in the United States a decade ago.

The Census Bureau’s most recent annual report, "Characteristics of New Housing," shows indicators that seem much healthier — including updated amenities and record square footage per person.

But how widespread are those benefits? Are first-time homebuyers feeling a squeeze?

To talk about that, The Show reached out to Mark Perry, professor of economics at the University of Michigan’s Flint campus.
