Trade Tensions Between U.S. And China Continue

As they attended the G20 Summit last week, President Trump and the leaders of Mexico and Canada signed a replacement for NAFTA called the USMCA.

Meanwhile, the war between the U.S. and China continues with mutual tariffs and taxes, though Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping have agreed to a 90-day period without new imposed tariffs.

How much of an impact could the trade tension continue to have and, could Mexico take advantage of the rift?

David Dollar, senior fellow at the Brookings Institution’s Thornton China Center, joined The Show to tell us more about this.
