Thanksgiving isn’t until next week, which means Christmas is still a month away. That hasn’t stopped a couple of Valley radio stations and many others across the country from already trying to put all of us in the yuletide mood.

Marty Manning is a longtime DJ who was present at the creation in 1996 when KEZ started playing continuous Christmas music for the entire month of December, plus an extra week or two.

It’s the station that gets credit and blame for introducing the format.
