Archaeologist William Saturno Talks Desert Excavations And The Mayan Calendar

Archaeologist William Saturno has led excavations in Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras. He even has some experience in Arizona at the Grasshopper Pueblo in the east-central part of the state.
One of his discoveries even disproved the concept that the Mayan calendar pointed to the world ending in 2012.
Saturno was in the Valley for a presentation at Glendale Community College and we talked about his career, including how similar it is to Indiana Jones’.
