Nearly three-quarters of registered voters in Arizona cast a ballot during the 2016 presidential election. But, during the last mid-terms in 2014, voter turnout was less than 48 percent.

In a recent ranking of states with the highest and lowest voter turnout, Arizona was ranked 43rd in the country, with average turnout of less than 59 percent.

Those are among the findings of a new report called “Arizona’s Voter Crisis.” It was compiled by ASU’s Morrison Institute for Public Policy and commissioned by the Arizona Citizens Clean Elections Commission.
