Arlington National Cemetery Expected To Be Full Within 25 Years
Arlington National Cemetery is where more than 420,000 veterans are buried. But based upon the current pace of additions and the limited amount of land available, Arlington could be completely full within 25 years.
Some restrictions could be imposed, and Arlington has an “eligibility survey” on its website asking for opinions on what the cemetery should do and any changes the public would recommend. That survey closes this Friday and, as of the night before, more than 228,000 responses had been filed.
Nicole Baker is the public information officer for the Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services and joined The Show to talk about Arlington and whether Arizona could face similar changes.
