In the world of TV sports journalism, it’s commonplace these days to have women on the sidelines adding “color commentary” to the action on the field. But you can count the number of women who’ve given play-by-play calls in the booth for a regular season game on one hand.

Last night, AT&T Sports Net’s Jenny Cavnar joined this elite few when she called a game for the Colorado Rockies, including a home run call.

To give a little color commentary of her own, former sports columnist for The Arizona Republic and current professor at ASU’s sports journalism program, Paola Boivin, joined The Show.
