Maricopa County Survey Of Homeless Population Paints A Troubling Picture
In January, an army of volunteers and Maricopa Association of Government (MAG) workers fanned out across the county to do the annual Point-in-Time survey, a way for MAG to assess the number and needs of homeless people in the community.
It’s this hard data that helps government measure progress or demand for additional resources.
While the official 2018 numbers won’t be released until later this month, preliminary data is in and the picture isn’t great.
Anne Scott, human services planner with MAG, joined The Show to talk more about the initial findings.
