Geographical Sciences Professor Discusses Warmest Year On Record

If you spent 2017 in Phoenix you know it was hot, I don’t have to tell you that.

But it’s official, 2017 was the all-time warmest year on record, according to the National Weather Service.

The average temperature was 77.3, which doesn’t sound so bad, but we saw 109 days above 100 degrees this year.

Here with us to talk about this record and more is Randall Cerveny, a professor of geographical sciences at ASU, where he directs the meteorology program.
