Russian interference in the U.S. elections went far and wide, and attempts were even made to access and potentially manipulate voter registration data.

Russia used its Internet Research Agency, a department that spent many hours inside outlets like Facebook and Twitter to create a stir over hot-button issues.

And this was about more than affecting elections. It was more focused on trying to destabilize the country in a broader sense.
