Lessening The Impact of The Southwest's Drought On The Colorado River

September 25, 2013

The Southwest’s lengthy drought has led to serious discussions recently about how much water will be available from the Colorado River, an extremely significant source, considering seven states including Arizona use it. John Sabo has co-written a paper with the University of Arizona's Robert Glennon that focuses on ways to lessen impact on the Colorado. It is called "Financing Water Reform in the Western United States." Sabo is director of research development at Arizona State University's Global Institute of Sustainability.
