The Historic Grand Canyon Pioneer cemetery has run out of space after nearly 100 years.

Located in Grand Canyon Village on the South Rim, it about 400 graves, including those of many early Grand Canyon families and tribal members.

Although the graveyard is closed to new plots, some burials might continue for people with a spouse or family member already buried there. The cemetery will remain preserved and open to visitors.
