Upcoming DNC Forums To Look Ahead At What Party Needs To Do

The 2016 election was a mixed bag for national Democrats.
Hillary Clinton won the popular vote but lost to Donald Trump in the Electoral College. Congressional seats were gained but not enough to overtake a Republican majority.
So it’s time for the party to re-assess its approach.
To that end, the Democratic National Committee is holding four regional forums to look ahead at what the party needs to do. The first of the forums is going to be in Phoenix on Saturday.
We spoke with Arizona Democratic Party Chair Alexis Tameron about her expectations. We also found out from NPR’s lead Political Editor Domenico Montanaro what Democrats need to do to be more competitive at the national, state and local levels.
