The investigations and the speculation over how closely tied President-elect Donald Trump is to Russia and, specifically Vladimir Putin, continue.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has been outspoken in calling for the need to find answers and draw accurate conclusions.

That has led for some, including Los Angeles Times columnist and editorial cartoonist David Horsey, to say that McCain should be leading the charge to keep Trump accountable. His column about that topic is called "Will John McCain Protect America from Trump’s Strange Affinity for Putin?" It’s accompanied by one of his cartoons showing the White House merging with the Kremlin.

We spoke with Horsey.
