Calvin Worthen shares a story about having a serious asthma attack in the middle of winter as a child.

Calvin Worthen grew up in Chicago. He had asthma, eczema, allergies and had accidents all the time. Because of this, going to hospitals and emergency rooms was the norm.

When Worthen was 7, his family moved from Chicago to Minneapolis.

One day in January, Worthen slipped on the ice and injured his wrist. After a visit to the ER, he came home with a cast on his wrist.

It had been a long day so he went to bed. But Worthen woke up in the middle of the night feeling like he was choking.
