New Arizona Supreme Court Judge Discusses Goals, Merit Selection System

During the 2016 legislative session, approval was given for the addition of two new justices to the Arizona Supreme Court.

After applications were received and intense interviews were conducted, Gov. Doug Ducey named Appeals Court Judge Andrew Gould and state Solicitor General John Lopez as his choices.

We spoke with Gould about his goals, Arizona’s merit selection system and his experience as a rural judge.
