When Valley Bandmates Became Parents, Music Remained A Constant

The Azz Izz Band was a popular group at Valley venues and beyond for more than a decade. The band had a reggae sound, steel drums and a party vibe.
But two of the principals in Azz Izz—Phoenix natives Mark and Katherine Reckling—became parents and kept up with their music, but mostly in private. Then as the kids grew up, the Recklings got some of their crew back together and formed Sugahbeat.
KJZZ's Here and Now talked with the Recklings about the band and how their music has evolved.
