A storm approaches the metro Phoenix area in 2015.

The weather phenomenon known as the monsoon can be entertaining, as long as you’re not stuck in it and your power stays on. Dust walls, lightning and heavy rain can lead to striking images, which draws the interest of photographers and videographers.

Bryan Snider produced "Why I Chase: The Arizona Monsoon," a documentary featuring tens of thousands of Arizona storm images.

"For me, it's more of the passion of seeing mother nature, being right near with it that gets me excited," Snider said.
