Intel’s decision to cut 560 jobs in the city of Chandler could have a dramatic impact on the Valley economy — or at least the goal of creating a “Silicon Desert.”

Economist Dennis Hoffman, of the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, explained what the loss means for Arizona's technology industry.
