The Texas House passed sweeping immigration-enforcement legislation late last week that echoes Arizona’s own controversial immigration measure of more than a decade ago, SB 1070.
Texas' House Bill 4 steps up enforcement measures that local law enforcement can take to make unauthorized entry across the border a Class B misdemeanor and to allow law enforcement to order migrants to return to Mexico instead of arresting them.
