“Lou Reed: The King of New York,” “American Gun: The True Story of the AR-15” and “Our Strangers: Stories” are some of book critic Mark Athitakis’ top picks for fall 2023.

The year 2024 is practically here, so where are all the political books to get us ready for election season?

Athitakis is a book critic, and he came into the KJZZ studio to tell The Show about what is taking over the shelves these days, plus some of his favorite new titles.

Mark Athitakis is a Chandler-based author, critic and journalist. Here he is facing the camera and wearing a blue and white button-up shirt.
