It’s really hard in our culture to get past the idea that getting older is a bad thing.
Despite a whole lot of efforts to the contrary, ageism still runs rampant. Botox is popular, and millions are made off of anti-wrinkle creams.
However, Sari Botton says that getting older is something we all do, and we should celebrate that at every stage of life. Botton is a best-selling author and, a few years ago, she founded a Substack called Oldster Magazine. That’s right, not hipster, but oldster.
The Show spoke with her more about it, beginning with the all-important question: Who qualifies as an oldster?
