Almost 25% of registered voters have submitted ballots in Tempe's special election
Tempe’s special election is fast approaching, with less than two weeks until voters decide on three propositions that may pave the way for a new entertainment district and an Arizona Coyotes’ hockey arena.
Almost a quarter of registered voters have already returned their mail-in ballots.
“We have not had any reports of any problems at the ballot drop off locations,” said Matt Roberts, Maricopa County Elections communications manager. “And we don’t expect any moving forward.”
The deadline for mailing a ballot is Tuesday, May 9. Initial results will appear on the Maricopa county elections website at 8 p.m. on election night.
