Some Arizona lawmakers want to ban photo radar, but research shows the cameras improve safety

Arizona lawmakers are once again considering a bill to ban photo radar. Senate Bill 1234 would preclude cities and towns from using photo enforcement.
The measure’s supporters argue the cameras are intrusive, while critics say they help cut down on crashes.
Jane Terry falls into that latter camp. She is vice president of government affairs for the National Safety Council, which has done some research to see how effective the cameras are at improving safety on the roads.
Terry joined The Show to explain what the research found.
