SPOT 127 Media Center supervisor
The SPOT 127 Media Center is looking for a department leader to drive the program and help students develop digital media skills for the future.
Based in metro Phoenix, the supervisor manages a team of full- and part-time staff in the after-school media program as well as workshops for local schools and small adult groups.
The position manages the operations and activities of SPOT 127 Media Center. This unique program needs a dynamic experienced leader who is excited about helping students visualize their potential through digital media skills.

Essential functions
70% - Leads the assembling and oversight of the team to manage growth of the Youth Media program to include: developing and implementing operational guidelines to maintain the health of the organization and sustain measured growth.
20% - Manages curriculum expansion, ability to make effective oral and written presentations among diverse communities; communicates effectively with all levels of management and community; analyzes problems, identifies alternative solutions; projects consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals; ability to work within an educational environment.
10% - Participates in projects and activities in-line with the Division of Public Service, and other departments of Rio Salado College; including serving on advisory committees; assisting with development planning; participating with other administrators in planning curriculum expansion, college curriculum integration, presentations; promotional materials and special projects.
Minimum qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, radio/television, broadcasting or related field, four years of broadcast-related operations or programming experience which includes two years of lead work or senior level experience.
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation.
Desired qualifications
1. Three years of experience supervising staff at various levels of experience; developing teams.
2. Two years of experience directing youth programs.
3. Three years of experience in project planning and management, including budget management.
4. Two years of multimedia experience (video, audio, digital photography, websites, etc.).
5. Two years of experience in building and fostering partnerships with other community or academic entities.
