Four-plus months have passed since the Tempe City Council voted to bargain privately with the Arizona Coyotes on the hockey team’s proposal for a new home.

The arena would be part of an entertainment district similar to what the team was forced out of in Glendale.

Now, the public can tell the Coyotes and city officials what they think of the plan.

Saturday morning is the first in a series of chances for the public to give feedback on what could become the Coyotes fourth home since moving from Winnipeg to Arizona in 1996.

A neighborhood meeting is scheduled to be hosted by the Coyotes’ developer at a hotel near where the arena and entertainment district would be built.

Then on Nov. 15, the public can comment on the Coyotes’ pitch in person or virtually to Tempe’s development review commission.

The Tempe City Council has also scheduled a pair of public hearings for before and after Thanksgiving.
