Flu season is here in Arizona, and the state could see a rise in cases compared to previous years.

During the heart of the pandemic, the 2020-2021 season saw around 1,200 confirmed influenza cases, down significantly from the previous year. In the 2021-2022 season, as masking and other pandemic measures became more lax, cases jumped to more than 18,000 in the state.

With COVID-19 restrictions continuing to loosen and average cases below the national average, what can Arizonans expect from this flu season?
