Dozens of new laws go into effect this weekend in Arizona. For example, hospitals are now required to allow daily, in-person visitation. And HOAs must let residents fly flags that support law enforcement and first responders.

Some new laws will have an impact on K-12 schools, from prohibiting vaccination mandates to increasing parental consent on material presented in the classroom.

Elsewhere, Kayleigh’s Law seeks to give lifetime protection to sexual assault victims, while Jack’s Law aims to jail individuals involved in hazing. Furthermore, homeowner associations can no longer ban the use of artificial grass.

And motorcyclists are now permitted to ride between lanes when traffic is at a complete stop.
