Gas prices in Arizona differ by nearly $1 depending where you fill up
Depending on where you live in the state, you could be paying a difference of nearly a dollar for every gallon of gas.
AAA spokesperson Aldo Vasquez says the cheapest place to fill up your tank is in the southeastern part of the state.
“You’re going to continue to find the highest averages in Maricopa County where we’re seeing averages about $5.69. But, you’ll find the cheapest averages in Greenlee County. They’re seeing averages at about $4.75," Vasquez said.
Current crude oil prices are more than $120 per barrel.
Many pundits blame the Biden administration ban on importing Russian crude oil for driving up prices for American consumers. But according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, only 3% of crude oil was imported from Russia in 2021.
