Arizona is known for a lot of things, including some of our unique flora and fauna. But succulents have grown in popularity beyond just the desert.

And while they can be a fairly low-maintenance plant, they are not no-maintenance, even in the Southwest.

Angelica Elliot is assistant director of public horticulture at the Desert Botanical Garden. The Show spoke with her to learn if the Sonoran Desert is an ideal environment for succulents.
