Arizona has been considered one of the most independent and libertarian-leaning states in the nation — a place where individual rights and freedoms, at least in spirit, were more likely to be considered.

But Gov. Doug Ducey's decision to sign several bills, including those related to abortion and transgender rights, have some wondering whether libertarian philosophies are simply being absorbed into more typical party politics as practiced by the Republican and Democratic parties.

Arizona Supreme Court Justice Clint Bolick moved to the state more than 15 years ago as an attorney with a libertarian philosophy. And he came here, at least in part, because of the freedoms he believed the state embraced.

The Show spoke with Bolick to ask whether he thinks the state's practices still fall under a libertarian umbrella, or if dramatic changes have occurred.
