The Postal Service wants you to plan ahead this holiday season
For those who want to send Christmas-related parcels, the U.S. Postal Service is reminding people to plan ahead for holiday mailings.
Spokesperson David Rupert says additional staff has been hired to help process mail which needs to be sent out from facilities by Dec. 17 to ensure on-time delivery.
“We’ve hired 40,000 people. We’ve installed high speed sorting machinery at more than 110 of our facilities across the country, including in Arizona,” said Rupert.
For those wanting to send packages to military friends and family, Rupert recommends doing so by December.
