Arizona on Saturday reported more than 2,300 additional COVID-19 cases on Saturday, but virus-based metrics are slowing down from the peak of the recent third wave.
The state reported 31 COVID-19-related deaths in addition to the 2,358 new cases.
During the current surge, daily reported increases in cases reached as high as 4,740 while daily reported increases in the death toll topped 100 three times.
