Rio Salado’s Division of Public Services is looking for an enthusiastic administrative professional who is passionate about customer service in the nonprofit sector.
The administrative specialist assists with development department activities and participates as part of a team in day-to-day operations by performing data entry, letter generation and overall customer service to our donors.
The Tempe-based Division of Public Service manages three, award-winning public radio stations — KJZZ, KBACH and Sun Sounds — as well as the SPOT 127 Youth Media Center.
30% - Generates follow-up for reporting and analysis through customer service activities.
30% - Utilizes a database for tracking donor information and generating correspondence, retrieving information and updating accounts for report purposes.
25% - Generates correspondence and acknowledgments from membership database.
15% - Assists in the facilitation of all non-fund raising events and donor cultivation events; other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree from a regionally accredited institution and one year of clerical administrative office support or related experience.
An equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
1. Two or more years exceptional customer service skills demonstrated by working or volunteering in a nonprofit environment.
2. Experience utilizing a customer database system for the purposes of tracking donor/client activity.
3. One year working in accounts receivable activities generating and reconciling accounts.
