If you’ve hit a farmers’ market anytime recently, logged onto social media or gone to a local restaurant, you’ve probably seen locally-grown mulberries. They’re everywhere in the Phoenix area right now, and they often get a bad rap.

In fact, mulberry trees have been banned in some parts of the state in the past. But Jacq Davis says all of that is a misunderstanding, and that the berries are top notch.

Davis is a gardener with Epic Yard Farms in Tempe, which is located in her backyard. She said while mulberries are not native to Arizona, they flourish here.

The Show spoke with her for more on the berries' relationship with Arizona.
