Urban Land Institute: Phoenix One Of Least Affordable Housing Regions In U.S.

The affordable housing crisis is well-known across Arizona, but a new analysis from the Urban Land Institute puts that problem into a little more context.

The 2021 Home Attainability Index ranks the Phoenix area as one of the 24 least affordable regions of the country, which includes both rental homes and those for purchase.

To discuss the findings, The Show spoke with C.J. Eisenbarth Hager, director of healthy communities with Vitalyst Health Foundation, which has partnered with ULI on a number of projects, including the Home Attainability Index.
