The home delivery market in the U.S. is estimated to be in the neighborhood of $30 billion, and drones have started to be a component of that. But Brent Skorup's research says they’re being held back, in part, because of a lack of clarity over state and federal roles over drones and the management of airspace.

Skorup is an attorney and senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University and an author of a scorecard of how states are doing at crafting laws and regulations related to long-distance commercial drone services, like package and medical delivery.

Arizona did fairly well in his rankings.

The Show spoke to Skorup for more about how the state's drone market is progressing.

EDITOR'S NOTE: This story's headline has been modified to clarify the $30 billion figure.
