The White House announced Sept. 1 a national moratorium on evictions to run through December.

The policy would apply to people who have lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic and cannot find any alternative housing. The ban on evictions was issued through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in an effort to stave off a potential wave of homelessness as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to drag on.

It comes a month after the expiration of the federal unemployment enhancement of $600 per month.

The Show spoke with Rep. Jennifer Longdon, a Democrat representing portions of Phoenix and Scottsdale, about the impact of this order.
