Judge: Social Security Administration Can't Withhold Benefits From Same-Sex Couples

A federal judge in Tucson has ruled the Social Security Administration cannot withhold survivor’s benefits from some same-sex couples, even if they were not married for the required amount of time to get those benefits before one spouse passed away.

Peter Renn, an attorney with Lambda Legal who worked on the case, joined The Show to talk more about the ruling that will have nationwide impacts.
