There will be many casualties of the coronavirus — from lost loved ones all over the world to job losses and ongoing economic fallout. But, another casualty of the coronavirus will likely be women’s independence, according to Helen Lewis. 

In Helen Lewis’s latest piece for the Atlantic, she writes that this pandemic is a disaster for feminism, because — from household and child care work to the medical and economic repercussions — pandemics affect men and women differently.
